S2 FastGlass™ - not your papa’s fiberglass fly rod
Epic™ blanks are made to exacting standards using a proprietary Unidirectional S2-glass composite. Unlike other fiberglass fly rods, this material features a fully unidirectional fibre layup which aligns fibres longitudinally along the blank where they are most needed. This recipe rolled to our Epic tapers combine silky smooth loading with trophy pulling power that we call FastGlass™. The result is an incredibly strong, light and powerful tube with a crisp, precise response.
Great rod. Finally had a chance to get out and cast it. Loads easily and really shoots the line. Beautiful finish and color. Thank you for a great rod! Customer service was second to none. I was kept up to date during the whole process until I received the rod. It couldn’t have been better!
This rod casts like a dream and handles sink tips like nothing.
Managed to get the rod out for some much needed casting in some seriously high winds, casts like a true beast but soooo much fun too! Little to no effort to cast. Such a difference from the fast action carbon fly rods I am used to. Very very pleased with my purchase, its an exceptionally well made rod and the customer service is outstanding. I am one very happy angler, thanks
I love fishing old glass rods, but the weight and old parts always pushed me back to graphite sticks. This glass is fun to cast, alive in hand, and insanely accurate. I’ll chase redfish and bass with this stick for years to come
I bought the glass 8wt and could not be happier. The only concern I had going into the purchase was how well the rod would cast into the wind and how much distance I would be able to get on a cast. When they describe their glass as being a fast action glass they are exactly right. Its not only the best glass rod I have casted but I would put it at the top of the list of 8wt rods in general. I thought it would be a fun rod to have to pull out sometimes but it quickly became my primary rod. I will definitely be purchasing more rods from Swift in the future!
