Rod turner functioned well and the epoxied wraps, although not perfect, came out better than I had a right to expect for a first-timer. Use of AA batteries is a good choice, and even rechargeable batteries lasted much longer than the time epoxy takes to cure. Possibly a little pricey for what it is, and we'll see how long it lasts, but it did what it's supposed to do, and I've no complaints about its functioning.
Bought this for my husband for Christmas and he has had a great time building it so far. The instructions along with You Tube videos made it easy and enjoyable. Can’t wait until the weather in Iowa warms up and he can get out fishing.
I cannot praise the service I received highly enough . I asked about a breakdown of my rod turner and how it could be fixed . Within 10 days a replacement arrived in the UK from New Zealand that is real customer service !!!
Great product - a combined effort by Epic and C&F Design, it had to be good, and it is. I tried to epoxy on a rod section without turning it and it came out pretty messy so this turner is what you need. The only thing I would change is to add instructions to insert the batteries.
Compared to every other rod turner I looked at, this was the cheapest and was extremely efficient. It turned for days on one set of batteries. Easy to set up and use, it made life easy and I could not have built the rod without it
