Itu's Bones - 5 years on

5 years ago today we released the trailer for our Aitutaki Bonefishing documentary "Itu's Bones" - a lot of water has gone under the bridge in that time.  Itu & Kaleena have gone on to build a thriving guiding business, the Bonefish and the gorgeous lagoon they live in are in much better shape than they were when we all started this project, and i believe together we clearly demonstrated that conservation and sustainable businesses practices go hand in hand and can make a substantial positive impact.

Coincidentally my best mate and cameraman extraordinaire Earl 'Vernon' Kingi has a major birthday to celebrate today. Earl has been fundamentally involved in every film project Jeanie and I have embarked on. Every single hair-brained scheme I've come up with he has signed up for and supported without hesitation (Ok, a couple may have taken a little persuation)

He's put up with a lot traveling around the Pacific, usually in very challenging circumstances. Relentless hours behind the lens in sweltering heat and oppressive humidity - with a cold shower and a toilet being a rare but very real luxury.

There's always been a beer though.

Happy Birthday Vernon, heres' to many more hair-brained schemes - thanks mate.
