Action Epic G Series fly rod blanks are high-performance fishing tools. The lockup point develops in the top third of the blank, and although recovery rates are fast, the Epic G series would best be described as Mid Flex and Medium fast. They are light without sacrificing strength.
Graphene Tough Our use of Graphene nano-resin makes for an extremely tough, lightweight and extremely responsive blank.5% stronger than standard carbon/epoxy resin construction.
100% Carbon Construction. The carbon helix core boasts true 100% carbon construction. These blanks contain no scrim.
Carbon Helix Core. The helical core forms the basis for hoop strength and fibre support in the zero/longitudinal axis and does away with traditional scrim based construction.
Super Low Resin Systems. Utilising materials with resin content up to 30% less than conventional materials, Epic G series blanks are lighter and stronger. Low resin materials help increase bending limits & overall response.
Internal High Strength Ferrule. A high strength internal ferrule is placed at each join to provide superior crush and split resistance.
Stealthy Snakebelly Satin Finish. Incredibly tough and scratch-resistant

This will be the third fly rod kit that I've purchased from Epic. Can't wait to begin to build it. Components are all first-class and the service from Epic is second to none. Very personal touch in all their communications. A joy to deal with this company!
This was my first rod build. I liked the prompt delivery, great videos to help with the build (once you get past the language barrier; just joking). The helpful tips I read more than once. I wrapped the ferrules first; then wrapped the guides to help with that learning curve. That would be in reverse from the building guide. The graphene rod is amazingly light and beautiful. Just an observation: the snake skin texture of the rod will not allow the builder to burnish the wraps. So, I used the 212 thread to make them disappear. It is amazing to me that a company would open for build one of the best materials in the world to make this rod. (That is so un-American). I only found one section to have a spine; easy to find, and easy to set up. Very pleased.
