Not what I had hoped for

Perhaps I should have read the description better, but this blank is not for me. The blank is extremely stiff and tippy. Its action takes me back to the bad old days of the late nineties and early 2000s. When fast rods were stiff and “dead”. I think rod technology ( rod action ) has come a long way since then. Other than the six piece construction, I see little merit in having this rod in my arsenal. I’ve used it a fair bit, to give it a chance. Tried several lines. I’ve overlined it by two line weights. I can get it to work, but it’s just unpleasant to cast for me. Casting it is work, like driving a hammer. Dealing with Swift was a pleasure. I hope you make a different version of a pack rod in the future.
