    S2 FastGlass™ - not your papa’s fiberglass fly rod
Epic™ blanks are made to exacting standards using a proprietary Unidirectional S2-glass composite. Unlike other fiberglass fly rods, this material features a fully unidirectional fibre layup which aligns fibres longitudinally along the blank where they are most needed. This recipe rolled to our Epic tapers combine silky smooth loading with trophy pulling power that we call FastGlass. The result is an incredibly strong, light and powerful tube with a crisp, precise response.

Crisp, clean glass

I love fishing old glass rods, but the weight and old parts always pushed me back to graphite sticks. This glass is fun to cast, alive in hand, and insanely accurate. I’ll chase redfish and bass with this stick for years to come

Epic Fastglass 888

Last year I bought a fastglass 868 for estuary work and was so impressed I decided I needed a fastglass 888. I used it for the first time in Sydney targeting yellowtail kingfish and it was awesome. It casts brilliantly and handles fish with aplomb. I'll be looking to get the 10wt Bandit in the future.

Blue 888

Picked one of these up to keep my Salsa 888 company, and it hasn’t disappointed. Feels a bit more balanced to me than the older 888, and still casts like a dream! Buttery smooth and great touch for sight-casting yet fast enough to handle the Hawaiian trade winds. Just slayed my first o’io (Hawaiian for Bonefish) on the rod this morning and found that, like the older Salsa, it’s got impressive lifting power for a glass rod. Doesn’t get much better than this... 5 stars!

Glass is back

This rod is the first glass rod I've fished in lots of years and it was a big surprise. The first time out with it we were on tailing redfish and it was a blast. Loads really well for quick casts in tight, but has plenty of reserve power to dig deep and turn over big flies at a distance. The S2 glass comes alive once the fish is on and the fun really starts then. Impressed.
