5A little faster and a little stiffer than it's 590C cousin. The Epic 590G is an extremely light responsive 5 weight fly rod blank designed specifically for dry fly, emerger and light nymph fishing for small to medium sized trout.
Graphene Tough
Our use of Graphene nano-resin makes for an extremely tough, lightweight and extremely responsive blank. 5% stronger than standard epoxy resin construction.
Stealthy Satin SnakeBelly™ Finish
Our Satin SnakeBelly™ finish is produced by a unique radial production process. SnakeBelly™ delivers the toughest exterior finish possible with a super low sheen satin finish.
Sure Fit Ferule™
Break a tip? we've got you covered. This ferule system is so precise that parts interchange between models. Gone are the days of having to return a broken section to the manufacturer or outlet where you purchased from. Breakages can be addressed by simply sending out the replacement part.
Light
The 590G fly rod blank weighs an astoundingly light 36 grams
Action
Epic G Series fly rod blanks are high performance fishing tools. The lockup point develops in the top third of the blank, and although recovery rates are fast, the Epic G series would best be described as Mid Flex and Medium fast. They are light without sacrificing strength.

100% Carbon Construction.
The carbon helix core boasts true 100% carbon construction. These blanks contain no scrim.
100% Uni-directional material - Non Woven.
Super light-weight construction and superior strength. Non woven Uni-directional material is up to 40% stronger than traditional woven material commonly used by fly rod manufacturers. A non woven fiber can achieve 100% of its tensile and compressive loading. Unidirectional material affords super light weight construction and superior strength.
Carbon Helix Core.
The helical core forms the basis for hoop strength and fibre support in the zero/longitudinal axis and does away with traditional scrim based construction.
Graphene Nano Resin - Super Low Resin Systems.
Utilising materials with resin content up to 30% less than conventional materials, Epic G series blanks are lighter and stronger. Low resin materials help increase bending limits & overall response.
Multi Carbon Construction (Multi modulus).
Using only the highest quality fabrics from USA, Japan and Korea, up to five different grades of carbon are used in each blank. Each type is placed at various parts of the blank to optimize strength and weight. G series ultra high modulus fibre boasts the highest tensile and compressive strength of any fibre in its class.
Internal High Strength Ferrule.
A high strength internal ferrule is placed at each join to provide superior crush and split resistance.
Target Zero Fibre Alignment.
Fibre alignment along the length of any blank is critical. Even the smallest deviation in fibre alignment from the axis of load will greatly reduce the strength of the blank.
Stealthy Snakebelly Satin Finish.
Incredibly tough and scratch resistant

Graphene nano-technology
Epic G (Graphene) series are a state of the art fly rod blank. The most sophisticated composite materials and production processes are used in their construction. Proprietary Graphene nano-resin, full Helical construction, multi modulus, and unidirectional carbon fibre - We believe this is the most sophisticated fly rod blank available.
I had a warranty question with my Epic 590G and Adam was beyond helpful and understanding. What started as a question quickly turned into a package in the mail and I ordered a spare tip section at the same time. It's more like shopping with a family business in your home town than some factory far away. I did learn through my correspondence that a spare tip section can be ordered with the rod blank during the initial order. I'm definitely doing that with my next order. I fish a lot (more than 500 hours a year) and my 5 wt rod has caught little fingerling trout and 10# catfish. The blank is more than up to the task, but when you hike and fish, anything can happen, so I'm building all future rods with that in mind. Amazing support folks.
I recently completed a trophy trout stillwater trip. The 590G flyrod performed beyond expectation. I can honestly say this is the best 9' 5wt i have owned. Outstanding product and srvice to match.

The rod is still spinning in the drying motor. The build was interesting, the texture provides a little extra challenge when wrapping with kimono silk, but I'm excited to see how it works with wet lines. I haven't build an Epic rod before, but this will definitely not be my last.
Very nice & very light blank. Wasn’t sure anything was in the tube. Highly Recommend.
