FastGlass II™
All Epic "Glass" rods are produced from industry leading 8 micron Unidirectional S-2 Glass. This next generation fiber is specifically engineered for fly rod production and features 8 micronfibers developed and produced in the USA. These fibres are almost half the diameter of other unidirectional materials, resulting in tighter, more precise and stronger fly rods.
SnakeBelly™
SnakeBelly™ delivers the toughest exterior finish possible. After production, blanks are first painted and then clear coated. This two step process produces blanks that are incredibly scratch resistant and durable.
SureFit Ferule™
Break a tip? we've got you covered This ferule system is so precise that breakages can be addressed by simply sending out the replacement part. Gone are the days of having to return a broken section.
Built Epic Tough
Epic glass rods are incredibly tough. Our S2 FastGlass II has a far higher strength-to-weight ratio than Carbon fibre (graphite) rods. Epic FastGlass rods can endure more acute and severe bends than the equivalent Carbon fibre or even regular S2 glass, tip sections are stronger and far less susceptible to breakages due to high-sticking and problematic rod angles when pulling against load.

I had previously build another Epic 7'6" glass (now in the hands of a friend - love at first sight!) This new blank is beautifully finished and waits a custom made reel seat & cork by my friend Mauro. The rod will be finished in time for the opening in our lakes in the Alps (May or June 2020, depending the entity of this winter snowpack). The rod fits perfectly in a backpack, and now i must deliberate the colour of the fittings. I will show you the rod as soon i'll completed it.
Rod has been very nice it was my second Rod blank, it seems to cast to a dry fly very nice, which is the reason why I bought the rod blank, it’s going to be a very nice small stream rod.
I use many blanks from many suppliers but always keep coming back to Carl and his Epics there are more better. Thanks guys!
Always astounded by the amount of fly rod builders buying crap blanks in order to get a cheaper rod and a better mark-up. RTHers no substitute for quality and the Epics tho it every time
Quality - thats what you get from these guys. Yo want shit - go someplace else like China
