it casts wit ease
The DH 13 #7/8 with its natural look is a beauty. It casts with ease (585grain scandi head) and the 6 pieces make travel easy. I am happy with this blank.
A 6-piece blank for double handed rod is not easy to buy, so I give it a thumbs up. SUPER !!!
The only one you need in two hands.
This rod is really resilient and throws long belly like scandi perfectly. Indeed for low waters I use a traditional spey line in 540gr (spey casts are goods but i prefer snakes for this line). For normal waters I use a scandi integrated line and for relatively high waters an old scandi integrated s2, both in 540gr. (Traditionnals spey casts are perfect) Finally for fishing in heavy waters or pits I use a scandi s3-s4 head in 460gr (Snap C casts are the best for this Line). The perfect travel rod, that cast as traditional ones !
Perfect travel spey rod
DH13 7-8 : This blank is just stiff enough to cast every kind of spey lines. But it is awesome with a 34 grams mid or short belly traditional spey line. Don't know how it works with skagit because i don't like those not subtle kind of lines. I recommend ! PS : Beautiful blank as the others swift epic C blanks.
