The whole process has been a pleasure and my 590 is truly a wonderful fly rod. Perfectly made, flawless wraps, the best cork I have ever seen and so light in the hand and easy to cast. You really don’t appreciate all this until you see and it cast it against a Sage or Scott or even a Winston -the entire build is a cut above and this fly rod is the sweetest casting rod of the lot.
Smooth, loads short, loads long, has a surprising amount of power and is featherlight and absolutely stunning! No better rod made in my book, happy I found you!
The 590 is absolutely world-class. Light, responsive, smooth, and crisp - this rod is a true pleasure to fish. The build quality is outstanding - it's readily apparent the Swift Fly Fishing team accept nothing short of perfection.

Epic glass rods are incredibly tough. Our S2 FastGlass II has a far higher strength-to-weight ratio than Carbon fibre (graphite) rods. Epic FastGlass rods can endure more acute and severe bends than the equivalent Carbon fibre or even regular S2 glass, tip sections are stronger and far less susceptible to breakages due to high-sticking and problematic rod angles when pulling against load.
