370 FastGlass Fly Rod Blank
from $299.99
The only 3 weight fly rod you'll ever need.
The 3 weight you don't have to baby-sit. Our Epic 370 is a subtle, lightweight yet very strong fly rod blank perfect for small trout, cutties and Brook Trout.
Built using FastGlass™ this is the 3 wt that really is one tough customer. Far stronger and robust than any Carbon Fibre (graphite) fly rod, the 370 allows you to fish very fine tippets and leaders yet have confidence in a rod that is tough and extremely robust.
Our Epic™ 370 is crafted from Unidirectional S2 Glass, this material is stronger & lighter than e-glass or standard s-glass.
Recommended Line Weight: AFTMA #3 Length: 7'Pieces: 4Colour: Oilve
FastGlass II™All Epic "Glass" rods are produced from industry leading 8 micron Unidirectional S-2 Glass. This next generation fiber is specifically engineered for fly rod production and features 8 micron fibers developed and produced in the USA. These fibres are almost half the diameter of other unidirectional materials, resulting in tighter, more precise and stronger fly rods.
SnakeBelly™SnakeBelly™ delivers the toughest exterior finish possible. After production, blanks are first painted and then clear coated. This two step process produces blanks that are incredibly scratch resistant and durable.
SureFit Ferule™Break a tip? we've got you covered This ferule system is so precise that breakages can be addressed by simply sending out the replacement part. Gone are the days of having to return a broken section.
Built Epic ToughEpic glass rods are incredibly tough. Our S2 FastGlass II has a far higher strength-to-weight ratio than Carbon fibre (graphite) rods. Epic FastGlass rods can endure more acute and severe bends than the equivalent Carbon fibre or even regular S2 glass, tip sections are stronger and far less susceptible to breakages due to high-sticking and problematic rod angles when pulling against load.

The Experts
"I really believe the EPIC 686 is by far the most popular GLASS streamer rod on the market. More often than not, I get requests for the 686 and most of the time in Salsa. Carl has created a wonderful, and powerful taper and folks love them!" - Shane Gray. Graywolf Rods."I will only touch on this for a second because everyone keeps hearing how phenomenal the 686 is. This is a phenomenal blank. The beauty is in the fact that the rod can lay out ten feet of line with the delicacy of a full flex cane, but when called upon fire 95' of line into a stiff breeze. It does all of this with a great deal of feel and composure that most rods will never achieve. It is quite possibly one of the best 6wts on the market glass, graph, or grass."- Zeb Tonkavich Snowman Custom Rod Works"the Epic 686 is (f#$%'ing) magic in my hands. This fly rod is responsive, quick to load, and a powerhouse that lays out very long accurate casts with relative ease."- Cameron Mortenson. The Fiberglass Manifesto

Pro Talk
"It’s this feature of the Bandit that blew my mind when I began testing it: It will happily cast any line from a 6wt DT to a 12wt Rio OBS, with the sweet spot between 8wt and 10wt. Since it can load itself during casts with light lines, a 6wt line put over it seems to feel somewhat like casting a (heavy) 6wt CF rod. At the other end of the spectrum, the 12wt did bog it down somewhat, but the reserve of power in the big butt section will pull it through without complaint. I liken it to a big V8 diesel engine with low end torque that’s a pleasure to draw into." Read the complete review here

Multi Carbon Construction (Multi modulus).Using only the highest quality fabrics from USA, Japan and Korea, up to five different grades of carbon are used in each blank. Each type is placed at various parts of the blank to optimize strength and weight. G series ultra high modulus fibre boasts the highest tensile and compressive strength of any fibre in its class.
Internal High Strength Ferrule.A high strength internal ferrule is placed at each join to provide superior crush and split resistance.
Target Zero Fibre Alignment.Fibre alignment along the length of any blank is critical. Even the smallest deviation in fibre alignment from the axis of load will greatly reduce the strength of the blank.
