An Epic Day - The Swift Fly Fishing Company - Epic Fly Rods

Things have been incredibly busy of late. Designing theEpic fly rod blanksand getting them to market seems to have been all consuming. There's been little time for fly fishing, but given that we've had such a bad run of summer weather I don't really feel like I've missed out on too much.

That all changed this week with a run of perfect weather and the arrival of fly fishing mate and fellow casting intructor Simon Zarifeh.

It was the perfect opportunity to get out of the office and take the new "So Blue" Epic 686 and the Lunar fly reel prototype out for a spin.

Fantastic fun, here's a bunch of pics.

BTW My Epic S2 Unidirectional Fly rod blanks up on our website herehttp://swiftflyfishing.com/collections/epic-fly-rod-blanks

Fly fishing and certainly fly casting is most certainly the sport of exceptions and in order to attempt to explain anything in fly casting you tend to have to generalise  -and that’s what i’m about to do.
